01 Introduction
IdeaForge is a product of RouteForged ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at ideaforge.app.
We take your privacy seriously. We collect only what we need to operate the Service, we don't sell your data, and we give you control over your information. By using IdeaForge, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

02 Information We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you're part of a team workspace, we may also collect your role within that workspace.
Content you submit
This includes the ideas, notes, and research you capture and create within IdeaForge. This content is yours — we process it to provide the Service and do not use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Usage data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service — pages visited, features used, and session activity. This helps us improve IdeaForge and diagnose issues.
Payment information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details on our servers. We receive only a payment token and basic billing information (last four digits, card type, billing address) from Stripe.
03 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- —Provide, operate, and maintain the IdeaForge Service
- —Process your transactions and manage your subscription
- —Send transactional emails such as account confirmations, password resets, and billing receipts
- —Respond to support requests and communicate with you
- —Monitor and improve the performance, security, and quality of the Service
- —Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to inform product development
We do not use your content to send you marketing emails or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
04 Data Retention
We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period.
When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes (such as billing records, which may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax law).
Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.
05 Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- —Payment processing: Stripe processes payments on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance.
- —AI processing: To power research and brainstorming features, your idea content is sent to AI providers (such as Anthropic and Tavily) via API. These providers process data under contractual data protection agreements and do not retain your data for model training.
- —Email delivery: Transactional emails are sent through a third-party email service provider. Only your email address and the content of the email are shared for delivery purposes.
- —Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RouteForged, our users, or others.
07 Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls that limit who within RouteForged can view your data.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of a security vulnerability, please report it to support@routeforged.com.
08 Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- —Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- —Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- —Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- —Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data.

09 Children's Privacy
IdeaForge is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of IdeaForge after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
